  5. PFX is a data conversion product which provides a convenient and effective way
  6. to transfer files from a Prime 50 series system to a UNIX environment. Running
  7. on the target UNIX system, PFX reads magnetic tapes(s) or cartridge that were
  8. saved using the Primos Magsav utility. PFX processes Midasplus, SAM, DAM, CAM
  9. and UFD files and converts the file data into a format suitable for use under
  10. UNIX. PFX includes a simple record-definition language to describe the source
  11. and target record formats. PFX will automatically generate record descriptions
  12. for Cobol applications. Notable amongst its many features, PFX can also
  13. generate COBOL data file reload programs automatically.
